BRC are looking for a passionate Therapeutic Caseworker to be part of interesting Child Welfare program in South West Sydney. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong case management experience, implementing evidence based models across children and family services. This key role will provide efficient and effective support to high risk children and young people that are at high risk of entering the child protection system.

Main duties:

• Ability to engage with complex clients, completing risk assessments and achieve goals using trauma informed practise and strategies
• Work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders and in close partnership with DCJ and SAL consulting.
• Build professional relationships with the community including CALD families and clients to increase their welbeing
• Follow appropriate guideline with policies and mandatory reporting guidelines for children at immediate risk

Essential criteria:

• Degree level qualifications in Social work, Psychology or equivalent
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of child protection issues and implement therapeutic models of care
• Demonstrated experience in establishing strategic partnerships, growing new initiatives and achieving desired outcomes with relevant communities and organisations
• Demonstrated ability to work with families and children from CALD backgrounds in culturally and sensitive way
• NSW driving licence essential
