About the role

This role is based around providing support to adults with mental health issues living within a shared accommodation service. The successful applicant will be responsible for aspects of the clients daily living routine which can range from personal care and domestic assistance to community access and social support which will require the following:
* Supporting clients to make decisions and have choices
* Supporting clients to identify and achieve goals
* Promoting independence and independent living skills among clients
* Assisting with appointments and transport needs
* Engaging clients within their communities
* Assisting with any personal care necessary
* Administering medication

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have the following:
* 3+ months paid experience in a similar setting
* Minimum cert IV in Mental Health or similar qualification in related field
* Valid Working with Children's Check
* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
* Be willing to undergo a Police check
* A car with a valid NSW licence
* Mental health first aid and ASSIST training (desirable)
